As you know it's school holidays now. When people say the word holiday for kids mostly their answer would mostly be these three things T.V, Sleep and at home. For me I was like them, but these last few weeks and days of the year  I want a change within myself.

Future Aspiration

Amelia Unufe
Amelia- Message (Don’t let people’s perspective of you determine your future)

Amelia had a life of ups and down. There came a moment when people used her background as a way to put her down. Because her brothers were members in Gangs and also got dropped out of High School.

But she didn’t let that get in the way of her future. As life was moving on she had an interest in Fashion and later on she was studying and also making her own designs at Auckland University Of Technology in the Bachelor of Fashion Design. And through her journey  what I learnt was to (Don’t let people’s perspective of you determine your future).

Good Friends - Writing Test

Good Friends.
-What they are?
-What do they do for you?
-What are they to you?
-What you think a good friend is?

Do you have friends, but are they “Good Friends”? What are good friends anyway?

In my perspective of a good friend, is like a brother or sister. By saying that I mean they are always there for you when you have your ups and downs and when you feel lonely.

For example if you get bullied and you want to make an end to it but you don’t have the words or strength thats when your good friend or friends came along and help you out.

To have a good friend is something not everyone in this universe has. A change needs to be happen, to make more good friends instead of the opposite. Because did you know that good friends and people are some of the things that helps the world flow well.

If you are one of those out there who doesn't have one, the question is “Why and How?”  Ways you can have a good friend or friends is by being one yourself. It all begins from you. Set a good example as a good friend and you may never know, start from none and may have more than you have ever imagined.

Because friends can become one of those people in your life that are very important. A good friend can be you!

Trip to the museum.

First day back to school from the long weekends the day started with a trip to the museum. As our school term topic which is art attack we were discovering different art and ways and things to make art.

When we arrived their after a while we got handed work sheets that had some tasks on for us to do. It was very interesting looking and discovering different types of art and ways to make art. Immersion Assembly Term 4

"Now welcome Team 2" Mr Burt announced. Mr Jacobson landed his finger down on the laptop and pressed play. It was our Immersion Assembly where each team shares a bit of what topic they will be learning for the term. Team 2 started with a video that was teaching us about primary colours.

Do you know what primary colours are? From my understanding primary colours are the first colours that are mixable to create more and more different colours. They are red, yellow and blue, which were the colours that Team 2's teachers were dressed up in.

From the video I learnt something I didn't know before. As the video ended the team 2 teachers came onto the stage and had a talk about what they did. Team 2 gave us some interesting information even though we haven't even started class learning yet. I feel excited about this term.

Writing From The Lifeguard Perspective.

It had been a wild day. A hot wind had blown angry grey clouds across the sky, and the waves seemed unsettled and agitated. The lifeguard had watched the surfers pitting their skills against the swell, pulling out just before the waves peaked and crashed down upon them. He was captivated by the way the ocean stretched out into the distance, the way the swell keep rolling in, wave after unstoppable wave. The sun was starting to dip towards the horizon, but the temperature was still uncomfortably hot.

He saw a boy rushing down to the sea. It looked like the waves were bigger than he expected. As the boy was walking in, a huge wall of water was rushing towards him to crash down on him. The lifeguard divided into the sea looking for the boy. It was very hard because waves was crashing up and down. But the boy was lucky because the wave rolled him back to the sand.

Kabbadi

Kabbadi is a game that was invented in the country of India. It is a contact sport based on wrestling. It use to be only played in India, but now in these days it is also played in Maldives and Pakistan.

How many players- You will need a team but at least more than four. Once you have done that you will need to put 4 people on. And same for the other team.

How to play- Once you have people on you would have to send one person from your team to go tag another person on the other team and you have to try and make to the other side. While the person you touched has to try and tackle you before you can go back to you side.

Where to play- The best area would be to play Kabbadi on the field.

Weekly Quiz ( The Whangarei KiwiYo frozen yoghurt shop.)

The topic for this article is, (Why was the Whangarei KiwiYo frozen yogurt shop in the news last week?

Well did you know that KiwiYo is one of an amazing place to go to on special occasions like your birthday and party's and more.

Well the reason why the KiwiYo in Whangarei was in the news last week was because the boss of the KiwiYo in that branch heard that one of his employees was greeting customers in Maori like "Kia Ora".

Later on we heard that, that employee quit after she had first ever got told of that she wasn't allowed to greet customers like before. She had quit from that job.

Well from my perspective of that problem is that the boss is being very stricted. Why can't he let his employees greet customers the way they want to.

Rimu heard a voice saying Rimu. He heard something tap on the window. Rimu rolled over. He still felt sleepy. He couldn’t figure out why he could hear his name. He didn’t think it could be hail because it was the middle of summer.
He sat up, and looked. It was early morning. He could just make out a shadow, which leant forward and rapped again, louder this time.
“Rimu! You deadhead. Wake up!”
Rimu groaned. Ollie! He would have preferred hail.

A.F.L Effective Writing.

On a normal not perfect Wednesday when the clock struck 9.40 am off we went walking to the hall getting ready for A.F.L. A.F.L. means (Aussie Football League). Each week we learn at least 2 or more skills in our A.F.L. section.

Walking in, the footballs that were laying on the ground caught my attention. I knew we were going to have fun and some people would eventually get sweaty, and when I say sweaty I mean really sweaty just like they have just finished having a shower. And that was meaning boys.

The skills we have learned was,

1. Speckie

2. Handball

3. The Bounce

4. Ruck

5. Chest Mark

6. Hand Mark.

After we played a game. We had to be splited up  into two groups called Rats and Rabbits. Then it got splited  again into now on four sides. They were still Rats and Rabbits. On one side Rabbits started with two footballs and on the other side Rats  started with the ball. With had to work as a team to eliminate the other team. We had to use the skill Handball. Unfortunately Rabbits lost by 1 under and Rats won!! A.F.L. has been so fun this term. We still have one more section to go but it will be amazing. :)

My sister Glennes was playing in the first half as W.D (Wing Defence). Well my cousin Sheena was sub on the first half just encouraging her team mates and watching and waiting for her time to come.

The siren rang and the game has started. Their appointed started with the ball. When the whistle was blown everyone started coming forward and shouting “ Here, Here Me, Me!” Well me and my other sister Marilyn was just eating hot chips and watching. .

The appointed finish the first half with 5 to nil. The Panthers coach said to them like this ‘’ You girls need to spread out and get some goal in OKAY.” The siren went on again but this time my cousin Sheena went on now well my sister Glennes was having a break. Sheen went on play G.A (Goal Attack).

The umpire blew the whistle but this time the Panthers started the game having the ball first. Panthers went up to the centre and started calling for the ball. The Pt England centre quickly passed it to the free person which was Sheena (Goal Attack). The Sheena passed it to WA and the off it went to GS and back to Sheena. Sheena shoot'd and it went in. Now on the point paper it was 5 to 1.. 4 minutes passed and Sheen scored another 5 shots. The along came another 4 from Sheena again. The Panthers were really going hard and making a lot of improvement in the second half. 2 more minutes were left and the panthers were going for another goal but unfortunately the other team stole the ball and had the last goal of the game.

The finishing siren went on and the Panthers lost by 1 point. The score of the game was 10 to 9. It was a strong comeback in the second half from the Panthers. The Panther tried their best! :)
