Germany

Germany a wonderful and beautiful country. The reason why I chose this country to study on in the summer holidays was because I am partly German or in other words, I have German blood and also Samoan but I don't know much about my German side. This is one reason why I chose Germany to study and another one is because I think I would really learn a lot.

  2. Kia ora Quasia!

It's great to see you joining in on the Summer Learning Journey! I'm Mark, one of the teachers working on the Journey, and I am very excited to see that you've chosen Germany! It is very cool that you're trying to connect to your ancestors, I also happen to have some German in me!

Did you know that the Castle in the Disney logo was inspired by one that is found in Germany? I wonder if you could google it and see if you can see the similarities.

I hope that you enjoy our programme and look forward to reading more of your posts!

    Kia kaha!

  3. Guten tag Quasia,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey! We are so happy to have you on board and blogging with us over the next few weeks. I'm looking forward to following your journey :-)

My name is Dan, and I'm working alongside Rachel and Mark over the summer. I'm lucky enough to be able to read your blogs and I'll be leaving comments as I go. If you want to reply to my comments then please do! I'd love to know what you think, or if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.

I like that you want to travel there to learn more about your family. My Dad comes from a country called Hungary which is very close to Germany, so I understand wanting to learn about your cultural roots. Who is German in your family?

I definitely agree with you that you will learn a lot by travelling there. They have such an interesting history that goes back a very long way. Is there anything in particular you would really like to do while you're there?

This is a great start Quasia, keep up the blogging and enjoy your learning journey!

    Dan.
