Art Reflection One

Your Task: To complete a draft for our Pop Art. You must make sure you count all the colours you need and plan what colours you are going to invert before you colour. We need to make a draft so that we know exactly what colours we use when we start our screen printing.

How do you feel about the work you did? Why? I felt exciting because I thought that when I finish it will come out like it was already done. But then I just started to scribble and it ruined my art draft. Then I felt disappointed.

What did you do Good? Why? All I did good was that I coloured the background liked I wanted to.

What did you do Bad? Why? What I did bad was that I took so long trying to make it perfect that my hand was sore and then I decided to scribble all over my work. And it came out rushed.Then I did a new one.

What would you do differently next time? Why? When I do another draft it will be perfectly nice and a little bit rushed.

Andy Warhol's Art

Have you ever heard about an American artist that paints art and usually Pop Art?  Well that artist is named Andy Warhol. He is a man that uses interesting things, different from other artists. Andy Warhol is a famous artist because he is one of the first people that created Pop Art. One of his pop art has Marilyn Monroe and Mohammed Ali, they are famous people.


His style of art is called Pop Art. Pop Art is a art art that has popular people like celebrities. Pop art is not just celebrities but also popular food like Tomato Soups in the olden days.

In his art  he used bright colours and invert them in opposite places. The man also use sharp simple strong shapes in his art to make it stand out. He doesn't just paint it originally but he screen prints them. In his art he also have dark strong outlines.

If Andy was alive right now he would have made more art work. Guess what he is still famous even when he is dead! My favourite piece of his art is Marilyn Monroe because it has different kind of styles of colour.
