Term 4 Immersion Assembly!
Walking into the hall for immersion assembly I had a sense of excitement inside of me. Not knowing what we were going to expect. The assembly kicked off with Team 1.
This term team one was learning about how habitats at the zoo adapt to their environment. In others words, how animals at the zoo survive. Animals like lions, tigers, monkeys, giraffes, elephants and etc. Team 1's teachers we dressed up as zoo keepers. Later on in the term they are going to visit the Auckland Zoo for more details.
Following up next was Team 2 then 3. Team 2 and 3 were both learning about dinosaurs. On subjects like how they lived, how they would catch predators and the reason they were extinct. Team 3 were going to invent their own dinosaurs. It sounded like they were in for an adventure.
My favorite Team was team 4. Why? Well because their movie was very humors. It made me and the whole school laugh. It was a movie with some kids going on a world safari. But there was a catch?.... The kids that were participating didn’t know where they were and what was behind them. It had the audience hooked in. It was very entertaining.
Now that the term has began I am very interested in learning about Adaptation and how to survive, outwit, outsmart and outlast. I am super super excited.
Paddle Boarding in the Holidays.
In the holidays I had the pleasure to join the Tamaki Community Development Cluster's paddle boarding team. We trained in the holidays to get ready for an upcoming competition. It was my very first time paddle boarding. I found out that I am actually really good at it. The thing I only need to improve is my turning. But so far I am ready and super excited for the competition. Let the adventure begin...
